“I am now quite sure that Tragedy and Hope was suppressed although I do not know why or by whom”

“There does exist and has existed for a generation, an international Anglophile network which operates, to some extent, in the way the radical Right believes the Communists act. In fact, this network, which we may identify as the Round Table groups, has no aversion to cooperating with the Communists, or any other groups, and frequently does so. I know of the operations of this network because I have studied it for 20 years and was permitted for two years, in the early 1960s, to examine its papers and secret record.”

The two quotations above are from a researcher, author, named Carroll Quigley. The secret society he speaks of he later wonders why they wish to remain secret? In the title quote he acknowledges these same people almost succeeded in canceling his seminal book ‘Tragedy and Hope’. What his book did was expose something “they” work tirelessly to deny. World events don’t just happen, they are planned, which is why such a mess is made of things.

John Stossel of ABC News had an interesting segment one time. It was a play on “chaos” theory. He went to a roller rink and showed how well things worked by letting the “market”, the collection of unassociated skaters, work things out on their own. Slower skaters naturally gravitated to the inner circle, fast skaters to the outside, moms and their toddlers into the unmoving center. They all went in a clockwise rotation and it all went off without a hitch. 80 people cooperating without thinking in flawless fashion.

Then Stossel had a “controller” come on the public address system and direct the skaters. It all fell apart. Pandemonium. A town in Ohio (I believe) took out all their traffic lights. Mayhem right? Nope. Traffic congestion went away. What few places they found it necessary stop signs were placed. Peoples own self interest took over and the most efficient traffic patterns were developed by the drivers.

Other places they’ve found the majority of drivers naturally gravitate to the safest and most efficient speed (yes, there are high and low outliers among them). Other economist types have used the example of McDonald’s restaurants. They show that market forces determine EXACTLY where restaurants should be placed. They show the utter confusion that would take place if they were somehow all gone and it was up to a government committee to determine where they should be. All of a sudden other considerations would be factored other than simply market forces.

We live in a world that is not random. WW I, the Depression, WW II, the Cold War, the Korean Conflict, Vietnam, none of these deadly and destructive events just “happened”. It was not in anyone’s enlightened “self-interest” to have had those events take place. Because in example after example a “free market” can’t help but me the most efficient mechanism, inefficient ones are unsustainable. Wars are “inefficient”. A 10 year economic depression is “inefficient”. Unless you are on the receiving end of forced events.

If you are the arms dealer benefitting from war, if you are the bank benefitting from foreclosures, if you are the investment house making a killing in newly created “penny stocks”, then you have an interest in manipulating events. Its like casinos, nothing is left to chance. Any gambler who thinks they are is a fool. The “House” has every game figured in their favor. There is a “House” that runs world events. For those who know about it, I don’t need to go through the various names.

For those who can’t accept that there is a ruling oligarchy, nothing I can say would convince them otherwise.
