It’s not clear who said the title quote, but it’s certainly something Ayn could have said. She was a ballsy broad. For anyone who doesn’t recognize the face, this is Ayn Rand (Alisa Zinovyevna Rosenbaum). A Russian Jew that didn’t go the way of communism, but the opposite way with the fiercest of libertarianism. Her understanding of Natural Law I would say is unparalleled. Natural Law being a state of societal existence in which securing the rights of life, liberty and property are the fundamental goals of the State.
For the video wasteland that YouTube is, I was stunned to find this gem on there. Ayn Rand had the flaws of anyone, but a lack of honest thinking wasn’t one of them. Her knowledge is timeless. Her hay day was 60 years ago, but in this video you’ll hear her talk about an issue that is popular today, universal basic income. Man doesn’t change, clothing styles do. Means of communication changes, forms of entertainment changes, but not basic human instincts.
The powers that be have successfully scrubbed this “secret” knowledge from the toolbox of the masses. Only a few people like myself who came to these conclusions on their own now posses it, and we’ll be dead soon. Government education has of course created a society of morons that are doomed to some version of socialism or corporatism, which is only different in degrees from one another. Socialism being what Bernie proposes, corporatism being what we have.
“Today you have to apologize to every naked savage on the planet because you are more prosperous than they are” – A.R.
“It constantly amazes me that defenders of the free market are expected to offer certainty and perfection while government has only to make promises and express good intentions.” —Lawrence W. Reed
“When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing – When you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors – When you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you – When you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice – You may know that your society is doomed.” – Ayn Rand
“There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.” — Ayn Rand
