I’m getting too old for this. Got a call from ‘Rob’ with the Kennedy campaign a few minutes ago. I’d been making $25 dollar donations through the Team Kennedy website. I hadn’t volunteered for anything, but they called me anyway. Which is not a good sign. That’s the way shoestring campaigns do it though, I’d been with the Buchanan Wars in the ’90’s. How do I know? When you are putting up a homemade 8 foot sign in an empty cornfield in November, that’s shoestring (Iowa caucuses were held in January back then).
I’m not particularly bright, but I’m smart enough to know Kennedy is the only choice for ’24. He’s popular on Gab and Twitter. That he’s popular on Gab tells you he’s popular with the ‘right’ (people like me). When I was talking to Rob on the phone something jumped out to me when I had mentioned “Kennedy Magic”. Bobby’s uncle John was a hero in WW II. Later he wrote a book called ‘Profiles in Courage’.
The reason I mention that is if you do a search on Bobby one of the first things you’ll see is something like, “Crazed anti-vaxxer conspiracy nut…”. And Bobby of course is a Democrat. But he took an incredible hit when he came out hard and fast against the vaccine madness sweeping the country. Lefties hate that he challenged the narrative.
I’ve been following him on Twitter for 6 months now (I got back on after Elon bought it in late October). He strikes me as brave, a straight shooter, and not a commie-lib. He strikes me as right in the mould of his Dad or his Uncle. In my circles on the ‘right’ we have great respect for those 2. We often say they would be unrecognizable to today’s Democrat. And I’m afraid that’s a real thing.
People my age, choosing Bobby is not a tough sell. At least for the ones that after all these decades finally realized what Oswald and Sirhan stole from us. It truly altered the course of this nation. I get so sad thinking about what could have been. Then with John Jr in the 90’s and Bobby here in the 00’s. The Kennedy’s were a merging of left/right. I don’t know of another way to say it.
Another thing is that while they are Democrats through and through, they are not America hating globalists. They are for America. A chant of “USA! USA!” could break out at a Kennedy rally.
He announces on Wednesday. He literally threw the idea of running out to his followers on Twitter the first of March. That’s not the sign of a big time operation. How I get hooked up with these 100 to 1 longshots I don’t know. But when I realized what America lost with those 2 Kennedy’s in the 60’s, there was no way I was going to miss working and donating to Bobby.
Political insider Roger Stone has been pushing the idea of Bobby as Trump’s VP. Its not the ideal situation, but its a thought.
