Before taxpayers bailout one more business, 2 things need to happen. Senior management, CEO and board of directors need to be on half pay. They also need to have presented a plan where they show how they will build a reserve of 9 months of operating expenses for the next rainy day. This nation is $27T in debt and cannot afford to keep bailing out these fools. “Too big to fail” – all they do is fail.
It’s not clear who said the title quote, but it’s certainly something Ayn could have said. She was a ballsy broad. For anyone who doesn’t recognize the face, this is Ayn Rand (Alisa Zinovyevna Rosenbaum). A Russian Jew that didn’t go the way of communism, but the opposite way with the fiercest of libertarianism. Her understanding of Natural Law I would say is unparalleled. Natural Law being a state of societal existence in which securing the rights of life, liberty and property are the fundamental goals of the State.
For the video wasteland that YouTube is, I was stunned to find this gem on there. Ayn Rand had the flaws of anyone, but honest thinking wasn’t one of them. Her knowledge is timeless. Her hay day was 60 years ago, but in this video you’ll hear her talk about an issue that is popular today, universal basic income. Man doesn’t change, clothing styles do. Means of communication changes, forms of entertainment changes, but not basic human instincts.
The powers that be have successfully scrubbed this “secret” knowledge from the toolbox of the masses. Only a few people like myself who came to these conclusions on their own now posses it, and we’ll be dead soon. Government education has of course created a society of morons that are doomed to some version of socialism or corporatism, which is only different in degrees from one another. Socialism being what Bernie proposes, corporatism being what we have.
“Today you have to apologize to every naked savage on the planet because you are more prosperous than they are” – A.R.
“It constantly amazes me that defenders of the free market are expected to offer certainty and perfection while government has only to make promises and express good intentions.” —Lawrence W. Reed
“When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing – When you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors – When you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you – When you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice – You may know that your society is doomed.” – Ayn Rand
“There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals.
Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them.
One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.” — Ayn Rand
[As a housekeeping note, its interesting that a dozen people a day find this post, against the search engines best intentions, and out of all those hits, not one ‘Like’! Isn’t that amazing?? The web is a very rude place. I think part of the problem is I write better than most people, and they subconsciously resent that. I also think they probably think I am world’s smarter than they are, and that’s probably true too.]
Republicans are all in shock that a druggy kicked out of the Navy (Hunter Biden), with no other discernible skills, was somehow able to turn that into making billion dollar deals with China and Ukraine! Spare me the indignation. He parlayed his dad’s position as Vice President and point man on Ukrainian affairs, and China, to make billions. That’s how you guy’s in Congress have done everyday for a hundred years! Don’t be all, “Shocked! Shocked!” now, it doesn’t become you.
I’ve come to the conclusion the American people really don’t get it. The crooks in Congress are sophisticated thieves. They’re not taking bags of cash at the foot of the Jefferson Memorial from lobbyists at midnight. They have more refined methods of graft than that. And since they write the laws, its all perfectly legal. Let’s take a look at the 4 biggies, FAANG (Facebook, Apple, Amazon and Google).
I only made it through Facebook and Apple and found 2 politically connected; Al Gore (No!) and Erskine Bowles. That’s how payoffs work. There are thousands of companies across the land employing spouses and adult children of Congressmen to the detriment of free enterprise. This is Corporatism.
“Can you imagine working at the following Company? It has a little over 500 employees with the following statistics: 29 have been accused of spousal abuse. 7 have been arrested for fraud. 19 have been accused of writing bad checks. 117 have bankrupted at least two businesses. 3 have been arrested for assault. 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit. 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges. 8 have been arrested for shoplifting. 21 are current defendants in law suits. 84 were stopped for drunk driving in 1998 alone. Can you guess which organization this is? Give up? It’s the 535 members of your United States Congress. The same group that perpetually cranks out hundreds upon hundreds of new laws designed to keep the rest of us in line.”
