This was an interesting quote in a number of ways. Liberty Tree (who sends out these quotes) doesn’t normally miss when someone dies, and unless there were two ‘Frank Mankiewicz’, this one died 6 years ago in 2014. I added the expiration date. As you can see from the picture above of Frank in front of the McGovern poster, he was a liberal. Yet in the quote he’s being bipartisan when he shows how a liberal politician obfuscates just as often as a conservative. That is a wonderful job of diagraming a sentence, something I never learned. In the bio I read on Frank it mentions he came from a long line of “Hollywood luminaries”. I have to assume he is related to the director Joseph and TCM’s Ben Mankiewicz. Liberal Jews are nothing new to Hollywood.
Oh sure, Buttjudge pulls out, he gets an article. Klobuchar pulls out, she gets an article. Tom Steyer pulls out, what’s he get? Ignored! That guy can’t buy press! He’s running around, “Hey! There’s 2 billionaires in this race!” Mini Mike Bloomberg gets all the attention. Steyer could be walking thru the middle of Times Square at high noon, have a flying saucer swoop down and abduct him with their John Deere Tractor beam, and he still wouldn’t get any press!
I’ve never seen anybody so invisible! It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. Mr. Trump was still campaigning and Steyer was running ads about impeaching him. Its been non-stop ever since. I think part of Steyer’s lack of success as a candidate was his juvenile behavior the past 4 years. People just dismissed him as a snarling Chihuahua. It really became evident with Klobuchar and Buttjudge pulling out on the same weekend as Steyer. The sound of silence.
Conservative media’s favorite villain is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Today’s article on FOXNews.com was about a “spat” between her and Republican Senator Ted Cruz. The subject isn’t really important, they carry her every utterance. Not bad for a freshman from New York who will hit her 14th month in office on Wednesday. If she doesn’t run for President in 2024 I will be greatly surprised. You have to figure the Democrats are going to get their head handed to them this fall.
Setting the stage for another Democratic free-for-all in ’24. She’s the one with the juice. Its like Tom Steyer, he’s juice-less. 2 billionaires and only one gets press. When Mike Bloomberg has more charisma than you do, its time to find another hobby. The Bronx Bomber becomes legal October 13, 2024. Once of those smart guys who sat around thinking up smart things to say said something like, “When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.” This election cycle is bringing out all sorts of interesting ideas. Currently the pundits on TV are “Shocked, shocked!” that Bernie Sanders calls himself a Democratic Socialist. The implication is that, “This is ‘Merica, we don’t cotton to communism!” Well that’s great, but don’t let it obscure what’s going on.
For the life of me I will never understand how people are so blind. One of the topics in last nights Democrat debate was education in Cuba. While they were going over that what was ignored was the deplorable state of education in America. When I first became aware of this in the early 1990s America’s world rank was roughly 28th in math and science. Then it became 35th in math and now sits around 39th! Why are you worried about Cuba?? Your kids don’t go to school there. You don’t pay for their education. Focus! The problem is here.
They sound the alarm (!) on what the tax rate would be under Sanders, meanwhile ignoring what the tax rate IS for hedge fund managers now! (Virtually nothing.) Good God! Many areas of Wall Street and other sectors of the business world get away with metaphorical murder! The conservative media is as bad as the liberal media. They are simply using the threat of Sanders to hide the real abuses going on now.

In my drive to stay off Facebook I discovered the FOX News website. Its an interesting place. There are a TON of liberals there. They hate Trump, they hate conservatives, they hate FOX, yet there they are. It also reaffirms my theory on FOX and their fans: They’re Republicans, not conservatives. They regurgitate the party line, but they’re not real good on independent thought.
Right now the crisis of the day is Bernie Sanders and socialism! The sky will grow dark and the earth will tremble if Sanders were to be elected President. They’re just so blind. What do they think Social Security is? Medicare? Medicaid? Government schools? The Great Society programs? The New Deal programs? We’ve had “socialism” in this country for 100 years!
That’s how Congress gets itself reelected, they dole out your money back to you in the form of various programs to buy your vote. Its the game! Instead they run around acting like America is this bastion of the purest free market capitalism on earth! Its ridiculous. What do they think Obamacare is? Republicans called Obamacare SOCIALIZED medicine. Yet when they had Congress they CHOSE to keep it.
Its those various socialist programs (entitlements) that are bankrupting this nation! The programs the purists say don’t exist!

Anyone who knows Victor Davis Hanson is going to be instantly familiar with this type of picture. Its at some sitting room in some university where an intellectual says, “I want to interview this guy, he’s really smart!” VDH’s IQ has to be north of 140. The man is so brilliant. Any bio on him can tell you his areas. I’ll just say that because he knows the past, he can see the future. As a historian, he’s seen the stupid. He knows what Man is going to do in a certain situation, with certain stimulus. Historical context. Newt Gingrich has it too.
But universities are littered with idiots in the history departments. Why was this guy able to save himself? Who knows, one reason is he is also a farmer. He’s in touch with the real world. He knows what happens when a drive belt breaks on a piece of machinery. What happens when you don’t order the seed in a timely fashion. He’s not a one note ninny with book knowledge as his only tool.
He always puts the news of the day in a word picture so that you can see why its happening and where its going. One of my favorite past examples of his was when he put Trump on history’s timeline. VDH might have used Patton, Churchill and Alexander the Great as examples. There are times when a people know inherently that their societal train is about to go off the tracks if we don’t get the right man in there.
They know they need a “bull”. They know a few people are likely to get bruised along the way. They want a guy who’s going to get it done. Period. That man gets it done, and is then immediately thrown out by polite society. There’s no more need for the ruffian at the ramparts. Polly Purebred has been saved. George C. Marshall is fine for the postwar, but they needed Patton and MacArthur to get us there.
Western Civilization is through. Its over. Put butter on us, put a fork in us, we’re done. Modern Western Civilization is incapable of defending itself. The only hope it had was the survival of the Christian Church. Because salvation (eternal or worldly) doesn’t come through the Republican Party. Its nearly impossible to be self-governing and not be a Christian. That’s the only thing that troubles me, VDH in my casual observations doesn’t have Jesus in the mix, and you can’t have wisdom without him.
But I digress. VDH had the perfect analogy in the video at the link above for something that has caused a riff with a lot of bright people: Trump’s tweeting. Is it good or bad? VDH put it perfectly. Trump’s audacious behavior is the only thing that got him here. A slave to decorum would have been soon crushed by convention. But, there comes a time…
He said Trump was in a ‘circle the wagons’ scenario. Outside that circle were his enemies. The ones who don’t want him to get the train back on the tracks. Those enemies are the media, the Democrat Party, academia, other countries, the Establishment. Those enemies are very capable of taking him down. He can stop them, but he has to quit helping them. And when he tweets gratuitously or mean-spiritedly, he’s helping them. He can’t do that. He has to quit giving them ammunition.
[In the first paragraph I make reference to Victor’s potential IQ. I think I might have something there. One thing I’ve noticed about liberals is that they really are stupid. They do have a low IQ. They do have an inability to reason. Something needs to be explained on how 2 historians end up like Hanson and Gingrich, and the majority end up the liberal morons we have.]

It became obvious to me after a few short years: don’t go to the websites that hate you! An amazing bit of detective work huh? The celebrities on those sites it seems will never change. They insist on enriching the enemy. I don’t. So when I did a search of ‘The Top 100 Conservative Websites’, I checked out #1, FOX News. It turns out Trolls live at FOX News, lots of them. At first I didn’t even think about it, liberals always hangout at conservative sites. And then I started to wonder, why is that?
Why would a person ‘live’ at a site that publishes nothing they agree with? 5 or 10 years ago I hung out at Bing. I quickly found out Bing wasn’t some neutral news site, its a left-wing site. Within no time I was banned from that site. I must be some ogre? Right? Not really, the other tactic liberals use since they don’t have reason behind them is “reporting”. Every comment you make gets ‘reported’, that flags you constantly to the moderators. Ah yes, the ambiguous ‘terms of service’. The bigger point here though, is that Bing quit their ‘comment section’. Just did away with it.
Another well known communist site is CNN. They don’t have a comments section either. So began to wonder, is that why they come to FOX? I don’t know… I know there’s communist sites out there. I don’t know their name exactly, except the Huffington Post. I know there’s others called Daily… Wires… Beasts or whatever. But there’s plenty of commie sites, so why don’t they go there? I don’t know. I do know that when conservatives hold a rally or march of some sort, Democrats HAVE to be there.
There’s something in the Liberal DNA that prevents them letting other people have their say. You’ll see it on college campuses. They riot and protest so much conservative speakers are prevented from speaking! Its crazy. Portland, Oregon is the epicenter of left-wing lunacy. These violent gangs there dress up in black with only their eyes visible, armed with brass knuckles, rods, mace and various forms of fecal matter and urine. The cops just look the other way!
Which is why when I saw this article at World Net Daily, it really caught my eye: “Left-wingers more prone to mental illness”. That resonated with me. Their behavior makes no sense. At the top the Democrats are gearing up for another impeachment. Its insane. They plan on impeaching Trump for the next 5 years! When Republicans are in the minority they make their case to the public and let the chips fall where they may. They don’t try to reverse an election. They accept the fact they lost and move on.
Not Democrats. Try explaining this in 10 seconds to door knockers coming around? They just think, ‘la dee da dee da’, will you vote for us? No way! You people are insane. I suppose my only option is to go to website #3, Western Journal. Liberals don’t know about it. There I’ve found out conservatives are free to go, “Trump good! – Pelosi bad!” without being attacked by crazed left-wingers.
